At least 10 people have died as Typhoon Noru hit the Philippine island of Luzon, Report informs citing TASS.
Earlier it was reported about eight victims.
Two more people died in the provinces of Bulacan and Rizal. The number of missing people has increased to eight.
Super Typhoon Noru formed in the Western Pacific and made landfall in the Philippines on September 25. The wind force at its epicenter reached 58 m/s. After passing through the Philippines, the cyclone entered the South China Sea, from where it headed for Vietnam. It is expected that in the coming days it will bring heavy rains, squally winds, storms and waves up to 10 meters high to a number of coastal provinces in the central part of the country.
