UK gov't won't pay separate allowance to Queen Camilla

The UK Parliament will no longer give Queen Camilla an annuity, despite the previous consort, the late Duke of Edinburgh, being paid nearly £360,000 ($472,000) a year to fund his official duties, Report informs referring to The National News.

Queen Camilla’s activities will be met by the Sovereign Grant instead, and she will not be given a separate payment, a National Audit Office report into the Royal Household’s finances showed.

The royal family's funding structure has been revealed in the independent public spending watchdog’s Royal Household spending and accountability report, as part of the NAO’s work to improve transparency.
