UN Secretary-General opposes travel restrictions due to COVID-19

UN Secretary-General António Guterres is urging governments to consider retesting for travelers, Report informs that UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres wrote about this on his Twitter page.

“With a virus that is truly borderless, travel restrictions that isolate any one country or region are unfair, punitive and ineffective. I appeal to all governments to consider instead repeated testing for travelers, together with other appropriate & truly effective measures,” the tweet reads.
