US Secretary of State Antony Blinken has arrived in the Ukrainian capital Kyiv, Report informs, citing Strana.
The purpose of the visit is to demonstrate US support for Ukraine and discuss some issues, including the supply of weapons to Kyiv.
Along with Blinken, Victoria Nuland, who was appointed Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs by the US Senate last week, also arrived in the Ukrainian capital. According to the US State Department, the Secretary of State will be accompanied by Acting Assistant Secretary for European and Eurasian Affairs Philip Reeker.
The main events of Blinken's visit are scheduled for today. In the morning, the Secretary of State will hold talks with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and then meet with the Prime Minister of Ukraine. After that, the US official will meet with President Volodymyr Zelensky.
