Vietnam reports first omicron case

The first infection with the omicron coronavirus strain has been confirmed in Vietnam, Report informs, citing RIA Novosti.

The omicron strain was detected in a man who arrived in Hanoi from Great Britain.

On December 19, the infected person arrived at the international airport of Noi Bai, where he tested positive for coronavirus and was brought to a military hospital.
