Volodymyr Zelensky has said that the responsibility for the deaths of people in Ukraine lies with Western countries, which, according to him, refuse to close the Ukrainian skies and provide it with planes, Report informs, citing RIA Novosti.
“For thirteen days, we have heard only promises. For thirteen days, we have been told that help is about to come for the protection of the sky, there will be planes, we will be provided with them,” Zelensky said in a video message.
According to him, the blame for the deaths of people in Ukraine lies with Russia, and the responsibility, including on Western countries.
"The responsibility for this is also on those, who have not been able to make a decision for thirteen days, somewhere in the West, somewhere in the offices, an obviously necessary decision," Zelensky stressed.
According to him, Western leaders can secure the Ukrainian skies from airstrikes and help lift the blockade, but they are not doing it.
"Hundreds and hundreds of thousands of people in cities are on the verge between life and death, literally, and not in the way politicians say about providing Ukraine with vital combat aviation, vital anti-missile defense," Zelensky said.
Zelensky also stressed that he would appeal to the peoples of the countries of the world if their leaders did not make every effort to "stop the war".
