2 banks in Kyrgyzstan malfunction due to unrest in Kazakhstan

In Kyrgyzstan, due to the situation in Kazakhstan, malfunctions began in the work of another bank, Halyk Bank Kyrgyzstan, Report informs.

"Due to communication failures on the provider's channel in the Republic of Kazakhstan, servicing Elcard and MIR payment cards in Halyk Bank Kyrgyzstan is temporarily unavailable. For this reason, there were malfunctions in the work of some ATMs and POS-terminals of the bank. Also, Visa cards are temporarily unavailable in the myHalyk mobile app," the bank said.

At the same time, operations with bank cards are available in all ATMs and POS-terminals of other banks in Kyrgyzstan.

Earlier, one of the largest banks in the country, Optima, reported interruptions in work due to the situation in Kazakhstan.

Mass protests in Kazakhstan began in the early days of 2022.
