Armenia enters in advanced talks to procure 78 more ATAGS units from India

Armenia is conducting negotiations with India regarding the purchase of 78 ATAGS artillery systems, Indian Defence Research Wing (IDRW) said, Report informs.

It said that the agreement is the next stage in growing defense cooperation between Armenia and India.

The initial batch of ATAGS howitzers, delivered in 2023, underwent rigorous testing across Armenia's diverse terrain, including high-altitude mountainous regions and plains. The tests confirmed accuracy at long distances and high reliability, which prompted Armenian authorities to consider purchasing in larger quantities.
