Armenia extends quarantine until mid-June 2022

The quarantine regime has been extended in Armenia for six months due to the coronavirus pandemic, until June 20, 2022, Report informs referring to Interfax.

The government made the relevant decision on November 11.

The quarantine, which was supposed to end on December 20, provides for a special regime of entry and exit into the country, as well as self-isolation rules.

An increase in the COVID incidence has been observed in Armenia over the past few days. In particular, on average 2,000 people are infected with COVID every day, 35-75 people die.

Of the almost three million population of the country, just over 700,000 people have been vaccinated.

Earlier, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated that the epidemiological situation in Armenia is extremely tense due to the coronavirus, but the authorities do not intend to announce a lockdown.
