Astana is hosting a summit of heads of state of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), Report informs.
The event is being chaired by Kazakhstani President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. The summit is attended by the presidents of Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan. The leadership of Armenia, a member of the organization, did not attend the summit.
The leaders are discussing the formation of a new architecture of equal and indivisible security in Eurasia.
At the conclusion of the summit, it is planned to sign 14 documents, including a final declaration and a joint statement commemorating the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War.
