Iranian President Raisi's funeral to be held on May 23

The funeral of Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi will be held on May 23 in his hometown of Mashhad, Report informs referring to Iranian media.

The body of Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi, who died in a helicopter accident, will be sent from Tabriz to his hometown Mashhad on Tuesday, Report informs citing the Fasr News Agency.

According to Tasnim, a council meeting was held in Mashhad this morning regarding Raisi's funeral. It was decided to name one of the main streets or squares after the late president.

The funeral ceremony of Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi and and other officials accompanying him who were killed in a helicopter crash will be held on May 21 in Tabriz, Mehr said, Report informs via TASS.
