Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu has announced plans to meet with his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov in the near future, Report informs via TASS.
“A meeting of Turkiye and Syria defense ministers took place in Moscow yesterday. In the near future, I plan to hold talks with [Sergey] Lavrov,” Cavusoglu told reporters.
Turkish and Syrian defense ministers held their first meeting in eleven years in Moscow on December 28. The meeting took place in a trilateral format with the participation of Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoygu. The parties decided to continue contacts in this format.
