Incumbent Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said in an interview with CNN that he would not run for a third presidential term if re-elected, Report informs via TASS.
"According to the current regulations, the president can be elected only twice. My first term has come to an end, now elections are underway for a second term. With re-election for a second term, this process will be successfully completed," he said in response to the presenter's question about whether he plans to lead the country until 2033.
