The new convocation of the Parliament in Georgia, elected following the October 26 elections, will hold its first session in November. However, this depends on when the Central Election Commission (CEC) publishes the final voting results, the Speaker of the Georgian Parliament Shalva Papuashvili said during a briefing, Report informs.
"As you know, certain procedures are currently being carried out at the Central Election Commission, the ballot counting is coming to an end, as well as other processes related to complaints. By mid-November, the CEC will have the final protocol, after which, according to the Constitution, Parliament will convene for its first meeting within 10 days," said Papuashvili.
