A search was conducted in the former Armenian Defense Minister David Tonoyan’s house, Report informs, citing the Graparak newspaper.

Following the search, David Tonayan might be charged and arrested.

According to the newspaper, after Tonoyan, the next in line are former Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan and former Chief of General Staff of the Armenian Armed Forces Yuri Khachaturov.

Tonoyan was the Minister of Defense of Armenia during the Second Karabakh War. He was fired shortly after the ceasefire agreement dated November 10, 2020.

In the summer of 2019, Armenian Defense Minister David Tonoyan put forward another thesis, saying that they did not accept "peace in exchange for territory":

“New war - new territory. We need to increase the number of squads in order to be able to operate militarily in the enemy's territory.”

Nikol Pashinyan, on the other hand, supported him, tried to cover up what the minister said, and made a new mistake: “If Tonoyan had made another statement, I would have fired him as defense minister.”
