Former chairman of Kazakhstan's National Security Committee Karim Masimov and his deputy Anuar Sadykulov have been arrested on suspicions of high treason and actions aimed at forceful seizure of power, Report informs, citing RIA Novosti.
On January 8, the National Committee announced the detention of former chairman of the committee Masimov on suspicion of high treason. It elaborated on January 13 that a probe into actions aimed at the forceful seizure of power was launched. Former deputies chairman of the National Security Committee Anuar Sadykulov and Daulet Ergozhin have also been detained under the same case.
