From 2023, the country's Ministry of Health plans to introduce reference pricing and set an upper price limit for all medicines sold in the country, Report informs citing the Georgian media.

According to the press service of the ministry, at the meetings, all interested parties are introduced to the methods and mechanisms of price formation and the fight against violators.

According to the reform, the state will set an upper price limit of the price for the sale and import of medicines. At the first stage, the reference prices apply to such medicines that are financed by the state. However, the list will expand in the future.
