Georgia's Prime Minister sets ambitious goal to eradicate poverty by 2030 If Georgia continues to develop at the same pace, the level of poverty might be significantly reduced by 2030, Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze said in an interview with Rustavi-2 TV, Report informs.

Georgia's Prime Minister sets ambitious goal to eradicate poverty by 2030

If Georgia continues to develop at the same pace, the level of poverty might be significantly reduced by 2030, Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze said in an interview with Rustavi-2 TV, Report informs.

"Though we are still far from reaching European standards in eliminating poverty completely, if we continue at our current pace, we will witness a significant turning point by 2030," the Prime Minister noted.

Kobakhidze highlighted that economic growth in Georgia was 9.3%, and the unemployment rate was 16.4% during the first five months of 2024.
