In a week, the Georgian government will become a co-owner of a stake in Borjomi mineral water company, Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili said at a government meeting on June 6, Report informs.

"The Ministry of Economy has almost completed the talks. Exactly one week later, we will raise the issue of Borjomi shares at a government meeting. The state will be one of the co-owners of Borjomi," the PM stressed.

He commented on the strike of the company's employees demanding better working conditions:

"None of our citizens will be dissatisfied. We will treat everyone fairly. All necessary decisions will be made in due course."

On April 29 this year, IDS Borjomi Georgia announced that it was suspending operations in Georgia due to financial difficulties. They linked it to Russia's military operation in Ukraine. On May 19, the company said it was ready to give its shares to the government for free.
