Kazakhstan, US mull developments in geology sector

Kazakhstan and the US plan to actively cooperate in a number of areas within the Memorandum of Understanding between the Geology Committee of the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure Development of Kazakhstan and the US Geological Survey of the US Department of the Interior, according to the press service of the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure Development of Kazakhstan, Report informs referring to Kazakh media.

This issue was discussed during a meeting between Minister of Industry and Infrastructure Development of Kazakhstan, Kanat Sharlapaev, and representatives of the US Geological Survey.

The parties also discussed aspects of cooperation and exchange of experience in the field of geology. The main things discussed at the meeting were the issues of training Kazakh specialists, methodological approaches to laboratory research, the creation of databases and banks of geological data, as well as the introduction of international experience and modern technologies for compiling digital databases.
