Armenia is interested in having the Zangazur corridor pass through its territory, Turkish Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloglu said, Report informs via Aksham.
Uraloglu noted that the tender for the 224-kilometer Kars-Igdir-Aralik-Dilucu railway project has been held, and they expect to begin its implementation in the first months of next year:
"The question here is whether this route will pass through Armenia or Iran. For example, we organized the World Congress of the International Road Federation in Istanbul. Armenia's minister of transport came, and we talked with him. I want to say that they have the desire and will regarding this route passing through their country. What Azerbaijan says on this matter is valuable to us. We will take our position accordingly. On the other hand, we can say that work on the project is progressing rapidly."
The minister also stated that Türkiye will ensure a direct connection with Azerbaijan and the Turkic world through the corridor.
