One of suspects in assassination attempt on Ararat Mirzoyan arrested in Armenia

The National Security Service of Armenia has detained one of the citizens suspected of attempted murder of the ex-speaker of the parliament, and now the foreign minister of the republic, Ararat Mirzoyan, Report informs referring to Sputnik-Armenia.

It is reported that citizen T.A., having learned about the signing by the leaders of Armenia, Russia and Azerbaijan of a tripartite statement on the cessation of hostilities in Karabakh on the night of November 10 and the transfer of a number of territories to Azerbaijan, headed to the building of the Armenian Parliament in Yerevan.

At that moment there were riots in the parliament building. Seeing Mirzoyan’s car at the intersection of Demirchyan and Proshyan streets, T.A. joined the rest of the rioters, who stopped the car, dragged Mirzoyan out of the car and began to beat him.
