Police in Armenia detain MPs for participating in protest rally

Police in Armenia are using force to detain citizens who have blocked a section of the Yerevan-Sevan highway. Among those detained are MPs from the Armenia bloc Artur Khachatryan and Arman Ghazaryan, Report informs referring to Armenian media.

There was a clash between the police and the protesters.

Protests are also taking place in the center of Yerevan, a number of streets are blocked, earlier traffic was stopped on Azatutyan Avenue and in the Davtashen district. Protesters are demanding the resignation of the government.
