A conference has been held in Tbilisi on the exchange of information between NGOs of Georgia and Azerbaijan on issues of public participation, Report informs.
The event was organized at the initiative of the National Forum of Non-Governmental Organizations of Azerbaijan.
At the opening of the conference, the chairman of the board of the National Forum of NGOs of Azerbaijan, Ramil Iskandarli, said that cooperation between Azerbaijan and Georgia is an example for the entire Caucasus.
Iskandarli also noted that this friendship causes concern for some external forces, however, despite this, both countries continue to pursue independent policies.
Experts participating in the conference drew attention to the pressure exerted by the West on Georgia and Azerbaijan.
They noted the importance of cooperation in protecting national interests and the need to strengthen such interaction.
The conference participants also discussed the participation of Georgian NGOs in the activities of the Coalition of Non-Governmental Organizations within the COP29 in Baku.
