Kazakhstan has fulfilled all tasks set before it during its chairmanship in the CSTO, Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said at the opening of the regular session of the CSTO Council, Report informs.
He noted that during today's meeting, there will be an exchange of views on the international and regional situation and an assessment of its impact on the security of member states, as well as new areas of cooperation.
"The CSTO has become a key structure in ensuring peace and stability in the vast Eurasian space. In the face of modern challenges, the CSTO demonstrates its relevance as a guarantor for all CSTO member countries," Tokayev said.
He noted that coordinated actions, mutual trust, and support allow solving all tasks set before the organization.
"The CSTO is not only a military partnership but also a unique mechanism for combining our efforts and resources to protect the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the organization's member countries," he added.
