Zakharova: Bangladesh endangers relations with Russia by closing ports to ships

Bangladesh’s port closures risk jeopardizing traditionally friendly relations with Russia, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said at a weekly briefing, the Russian bureau of Report informs.

According to her, Dhaka succumbed to pressure from the US and closed ports to Russian ships. What is happening is another example of the US practice of forcing neutral countries to comply with anti-Russian sanctions, she noted.

Earlier, the Russian Embassy in Bangladesh confirmed the ban on the entry of 69 Russian ships into the ports of the country.
