Russian Foreign Ministry’s spokesperson Maria Zakharova has hinted at the reluctance of Armenia’s Security Council Secretary Armen Grigoryan to join his colleagues in Moscow at the meeting of security council secretaries of the CIS countries, Report informs.
“It makes no sense for us to clarify the situation with Armen Grigoryan. He was going to arrive, but mentioning a change in schedule, he refused. We saw later that he received senior adviser of the US State Department for the South Caucasus in Yerevan,” Zakharova said at a briefing, answering a question from News.ru about the reasons for Grigoryan’s absence at this meeting.
She added that the journalists themselves should draw conclusions.
She also said that at the mentioned Moscow meeting, Armenia was represented by an ambassador to Russia, noting that the level of representation is determined by the states themselves.
