President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has called on world Jews today not to be silent and talk about the killings of peaceful Ukrainians, Report informs via UNIAN.
Speaking about Russia's hitting the Babi Yar tract with a missile, Zelensky condemned it as going 'beyond the bounds of humanity.'
"Such a missile strike testifies that for many people in Russia Our Kyiv is absolutely alien. They know nothing about our capital, about our history. But they have orders to erase our history, erase our country, erase us all," Zelensky said.
The Ukrainian president also mentioned the shelling of Uman.
"I now appeal to all the world Jewry: don't you see what is happening? Therefore, it is very important that right now, you, millions, millions of Jews around the world, don't stay silent. Nazism is born in silence. Therefore, shout about the killings of civilians. Shout about the killings of Ukrainians," the President of Ukraine urged.
On March 1, Russian troops tried to destroy the TV tower in Kyiv with a missile, but they ended up hitting Babi Yar.
