“Social Employment Center” project completed   

The project “Social Employment Center”, one of the winners of the “Social Projects” Competition announced by the Regional Development Public Union of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, was completed.

Report informs that the closing ceremony of the project was attended by the Deputy Head of Sumgayit Executive Power, MPs, representatives of the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (SMBDA), Regional Development PU, Organization of Disabled Entrepreneurs PU.

With the support of the Regional Development PU and the initiative of Organization of Disabled Entrepreneurs PU, a Social Employment Center was established in Sumgayit for disabled people between the age of 18-55. During the implementation of the project, which covers 30 people (10 people in each profession), the participants gained theoretical knowledge on phone mastery, tailoring, photography, and videography. Later on, they were provided with relevant equipment and acquired practical knowledge.

The project aims to simplify the access of disabled people to a labor market in Sumgayit and increase their employment opportunities.
