Azerbaijan, Mexico mull perspectives of tourism relations

The meeting between the Chairman of the State Tourism Agency Fuad Naghiyev and the Ambassador of Mexico to Azerbaijan Juan Rodrigo Labardini Flores discussed the contribution of the exchange of experience in the field of tourism between Azerbaijan and Mexico to bilateral relations, the steps taken towards the restoration of tourism after the pandemic, Report informs.

Within the framework of the meeting, the issue of promoting the organization of visits of the fans from Mexico to Azerbaijan on the dates of the 2022 World Football Championship to be held in Qatar and establishing relations with relevant structures was brought to the attention.

Speaking about the experience of Mexico as a tourist country, the possibilities of the Cancun tourism region, the ambassador noted that the Istanbul-Mexico-Cancun-Istanbul flights, which are planned to be restored and carried out by Turkish Airlines, can mutually contribute to making tourist trips more accessible.

At the meeting, the sides exchanged views on the impact of the development of economic relations and trade turnover between two states on the expansion of business tourism relations, support for the organization of trips of tourism companies, and media representatives for mutual promotion and development of tourism relations.
