The Canadian authorities have ordered from midnight (08:00 - Baku time), September 7, to open state borders for fully vaccinated foreigners who can come to the North American country, including for recreational purposes, according to the Canadian Foreign Ministry, Report informs referring to foreign media.
So, citizens of other countries who have completed an entire vaccination course only with jabs by Pfizer, Moderna, Johnson & Johnson, and AstraZeneca at least 14 days before entering the country will be able to come to Canada. In addition, tourists must present a negative PCR test taken up to 72 hours before arrival in Canada and register in a special travel app. Customs officials reserve the right to direct any passenger for an express coronavirus test. Fully vaccinated foreigners won’t need to undergo a 14-day quarantine.
The Foreign Ministry clarified that children under 12 years old can be unvaccinated, but they must be accompanied by fully vaccinated parents or guardians. They also won’t have to stay in quarantine for two weeks. Still, such children are prohibited from visiting educational institutions and crowded places for the first 14 days of their stay in Canada.
These measures don’t yet apply to passengers from India and Morocco.
