Greece is lifting quarantine rules for travelers from 32 countries, but tourists must be vaccinated or test negative for COVID-19, Report informs, citing The Guardian.
Starting next week, residents of the European Union and the United States, Great Britain, Serbia, Israel, and the UAE, will not be required to self-isolate. The new regime is expected to take effect on April 19.
"These are the first steps before the country opens to tourists on May 14," said a senior tourism ministry official. "Nine airports will be opened simultaneously with the lifting of the restriction for foreign guests."
According to the plan, the hubs will receive travelers on Kos, Mykonos, Santorini, Rhodes, Corfu, Crete (in Chania and Heraklion), Athens Thessaloniki.
