Before the coronavirus pandemic, Azerbaijan opened its tourism representations in six priority markets. These representative offices are in China, India, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Russia, and Germany, spokesman of the country's State Tourism Agency Kanan Guluzade told Report, commenting on the principles of work and activity of the tourism representation inaugurated in Israel.
He said the relations between the two countries played a role in the opening of this office: "Our next step in expanding the geography was the opening of the 7th representative office in Israel. Israel is a priority market for Azerbaijani tourism. Moreover, interstate relations are on a high level. Our representative offices in foreign countries are mainly engaged in attracting tourists to our country, hold marketing, advertising campaigns, and various events."
