Azerbaijan Tourism Bureau (ATB) under the State Tourism Agency (STA) and partners in the United States discussed tourism ties between the two countries and their development prospects at an online meeting, Report informs.
The meeting was attended by ATB CEO Florian Sengstschmid, Executive Director of the US-Azerbaijan Chamber of Commerce (USACC) Natig Bakhishov, Director of the Oklahoma Department of Tourism Jennifer Mullins, US Agency for International Development (USAID) Private Sector Activity (PSA) Project Manager David Blad, and others.
The meeting discussed Azerbaijan's existing tourism opportunities and products, the organization of B2B (Business to Business) meetings for Oklahoma and Azerbaijani tourism companies, the development of tourism ties, and the implementation of new projects by USAID and STA.
Visitors from the United States are particularly interested in mud volcanoes, agro-tours, historical and sightseeing sites in the capital and regions, hiking tours, Jewish heritage, as well as international sports events and business conferences in Azerbaijan. It is a tendency for them to experience Azerbaijan together with several neighboring countries.
The discussions focused on the organization of online meetings between Azerbaijan and the United States in 2022, as well as webinars on various tourism topics and the coordination of partners through the online training platform "Azerbaijan 101".
