Szijjarto: Hungarian government to finance construction of Hell plant in Azerbaijan

The Hungarian government will provide financial support for the construction of the Hell plant in Azerbaijan, and this is the first major investment in the non-energy sector of Azerbaijan, Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Peter Szijjarto said at a joint briefing with Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population Sahil Babayev, Report informs.

“The next successful story of cooperation between the two countries will be associated with the Hell company [regional leader in the production of energy drinks]. This company decided to build a large factory for the production of aluminum cans in Azerbaijan. The Hungarian government has just allocated the necessary amount of money to provide financial support for the project. In parallel with this, the largest Hungarian pharmaceutical company signed a contract with one of the Azerbaijani pharmaceutical companies to localize production,” he noted.

According to Szijjarto, important attention is paid to the field of education as part of cooperation.

“The leading agricultural university of Hungary has established connections with universities and institutions in the field of agriculture and food industry. This cooperation will contribute to further improving the food security of Azerbaijan,” he added.
