APA Executive Council chairman: Although Asia is rich region, it does not use its full potential

Although Asia is a rich region, it does not use its full potential, the Chairman of the Executive Council meeting of the Asian Parliamentary Assembly (APA), Emin Onen, said at the 14th plenary session of the APA held in Baku on February 22, Report informs.

According to him, attention should be paid to the development of industry by benefiting from natural resources: "For example, it will be better if the mining industry develops. In order to achieve sustainable development goals, comprehensive development is necessary."

The chairman of the Council said that in general, the recent conflicts should come to an end and humanitarian aid should be the main demand: "International legal norms are violated as a result of the conflicts, and the US turns a blind eye to this. Humanitarian values should not be exploited by a number of countries."
