The commemoration ceremony was held at the Consulate General of Turkiye in Ganja on the 84th anniversary since the death of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, the founder of the Republic of Turkiye.

Report's western bureau informs that along with the employees of the diplomatic mission, the event was attended by representatives of the Ganja City Executive Power, local officials, city intellectuals and Turkish students studying in this city, as well as Turkish businesspeople.

The speakers told about the life of Ataturk and honored his memory.

Mustafa Kemal Ataturk died in Dolmabahce Palace in Istanbul on November 10, 1938. He was temporarily buried in the Ankara Etnography Museum on November 21 and later his remains were moved to the Mausoleum on November 10, 1953, after the completion of its construction.
