Bulgarian president: Solidarity Ring initiative important for energy supply of entire region

The energy cooperation between Azerbaijan and Bulgaria is an important aspect in relations between the two countries, Bulgarian President Rumen Radev said in a joint press statement with President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, according to Report.

He recalled that an agreement on cooperation in the field of energy between Azerbaijan, Greece, Bulgaria was signed in 2022 and this initiative was welcomed by the EU.

Rumen Radev noted that after that, President Aliyev visited Bulgaria again and the two countries signed a document on the implementation of the Solidarity Ring, an initiative important in terms of energy supply of the entire region.

SOCAR's office in Sofia was also opened, he said.

The Bulgarian leader noted that cooperation in transport and education is also on a high level.

He added that this is also proven by the fact that today the countries have signed a joint declaration on strengthening strategic partnership.
