Iranian representative: 'We believe that Azerbaijan will fulfill its duties at high level during its APA presidency'

We believe that the Azerbaijani side will fulfill its duties at a high level during its two-year chairmanship of the Asian Parliamentary Assembly (APA), the head of the delegation of the Iranian parliament, Jalil Rahimi Jahanabadi, said at the 14th plenary session of the APA held in Baku on February 22, Report informs.

According to him, Iran always supports the work done within the framework of the APA: "We believe that it will contribute to the strengthening of the activities of the member states of the Assembly in all directions. The Asian continent will become the center of all relations. Asia is facing great challenges in the field of human rights."

He noted that the Palestinian people should not live under threat: "The conflict should end. Innocent people are living a painful period in difficult conditions, becoming refugees. Therefore, the war must end."
